Those of you who know my family know how close we all are, so this session was a big one for me. Jenna and her brother Jonathan were the first babies I ever felt really attached to, and that probably had something to do with how close I was (and still am) to their parents. I spent many nights at my Aunt's pregnant bedside while my Uncle Jimmy was at the firehouse overnight. I came home from school everyday asking "did Tia Anna have the babies yet?" When she finally did, I felt an urge to protect them....so much so that when we had family gatherings, I often got in trouble for "not sharing the babies." I didn't have sisters yet, so these babies were all mine!
Fast forward 22 years, and Jenna and I have an indescribable relationship. When she entered into her senior year of college, we immediately began planning her senior photos. It seems as though inconveniences came up each time we planned to go out and shoot, until finally we decided to just wing it. I couldn't be more pleased with how her pics came out, and I must say, the somewhat shy and soft-spoken little girl I've grown up with surprised me when she pulled out all the stops and turned into a woman in front of my camera! I'll always remember this session!
Jenna Bug, I'm so proud of you and I can't wait to see what your bright future holds for you!!
